Thor Odinson, often simply called Thor, is a prominent member of the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is based on the Norse mythological figure of the same name.

Thor is the Crown Prince of Asgard, a technologically advanced realm existing in another dimension. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, and durability, and wields the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, which grants him the power of flight and control over lightning.

Initially arrogant and impetuous, Thor was banished to Earth by his father, Odin, to learn humility. During his time on Earth, he adopted the identity of Dr. Donald Blake and learned to appreciate humanity. He also played a crucial role in the formation of the Avengers.

Over time, Thor has faced numerous threats to both Asgard and Earth, including his adopted brother Loki, the Dark Elves, and Hela, the Goddess of Death. He has gradually matured into a wise and courageous leader, deeply committed to protecting the innocent and upholding justice throughout the Nine Realms.
